Sometimes, the best bags are the simplest. Measuring out at 29L, the Transporteur Bag is a non-structured, durable, waterproof, roll top bag for your Porteur Rack or similarly sized platform rack.

The outermost fabric is extremely abrasion and water resistant Cordura, while the inside liner is seam-sealed and waterproof. Unroll the top and you'll find the main cavity is perfect for the majority of your touring or commuting gear, while the smaller, front pocket is great for all of your little stuff.

The roll-top design lends itself well to overstuffing with camping gear or groceries, but can also be cinched down for smaller loads.

great bag that works well on flat racks too

Well built bag by a great small business manufacturer in the US. I have other bags purchased directly from Road Runner and this one is of the same high quality. I use this bag on a size medium Pelago flat rack and the six (6!) provided Velcro straps all hit the rack tube frame in places that secure it thoroughly even while overhanging the side edges of the rack. With that security comes a bit more effort to take it off the bike if you want to remove it while the bike is locked up out of your sight.

I give this bag 5 stars for what it is, a couple minor things I would like to have differently for my own personal functionality would be:
- faster means of detaching and reattaching to the rack, maybe small buckles & straps.
- opposing male/female buckle ends on each side of the main roll top closure (rather than both being the female side) so you can have a larger load and close the top opening to itself.

Fully waterproof would be great too, but that would be entirely different construction and certainly increase the price.

Good Stuff

Well built, roomy, fits a 137 basket elegantly even tho it technically has a slightly larger footprint. The plastic liner is probably not rigid enough for it to work well on just a rando rack, unless you're only stuffing light things into it.

It was on sale and I had looked at others but decided to get the

excellent quality, great price

So, I was not going to purchase this type of bag but I decide it to as this bag well go on a wald basket and on my new Rivendell A. Homer. Nilsen. I got this bag on sale and I was blown away at the quality of this bag for this price. I have a couple of other bags at twice that price and the quality is nothing near this bag. I keep coming back to Velo Orange because their products are top notch. I am hoping one of these days Velo Orange decides that I would make a great product ambassador and give me a sponsorship or at least keep the discounts coming and free shipping...What the Hell? doesn't hurt to ask.
